This painting is inspired by late 80s and 90s pop music.
When faced with feelings of worry, anxiety, stress I turn to music.
So many tasks and pressures can build up in layers upon layers. Up close this painting feels crowded and its from this place of feeling overwhelmed that started this series.
By listening to music and taking a step back to look at the bigger picture its easier than to focus on one circle at a time.
Each circle is unique in its own way. Not quite a perfect circle, and varied in its colour.
Dressed for success is a painting that reminds us to look after ourselves. Sometimes by putting on that extra bit of bling we feel much better.
