Feile an Phobil did an open call for Artists to come together for a large community Art exhibition, which will be in various locations in Belfast.
St. Mary's college and Kennedy Shopping Centre.

25th July - 9th August 2026

I have never taken part in this before and so I thought I would test the waters by just putting in one painting.
My large brightly coloured Duke of York, renamed to 'By the Dark Horse'.
It is a popular tourist hot spot in Belfast City Centre with cobble streets and rainbow light umbrellas.

I visited the centre twice and the footfall is poor on the upper level beside the food court.
Also the promoters of this event had their focus on the exhibition in St. Mary's. This seemed like an over flow space.

An easel was provided, which was strong enough to support my light canvas.
There was plenty of wall space but no items could be attached to the walls.

I am glad that I was able to share this painting with the public.
It has been  displayed in my house and it is nice to see it in the public area.
